I have worked here for the past 14 years; The last
four years of which I have had the pleasure of owning!! I absolutely love
this place. I moved to Bracken in June of 1981 and walked in here when it
was a bar just to check the local hang out. I felt right at home ever
since and wouldn't have it any other way. People are friendly and interesting
to say the least. It's not just a job it is a way of life for me... I hope
to pass the same feelings of good home hospitality on to you. Welcome
to my home.

I was job hunting in 1993. I came across an ad
for help at the Bracken Store Cafe. I've been here ever since!! I consider
myself lucky working for Linda and meeting a lot of interesting people.
I'm so at home while I'm working. I can't ever imagine working anywhere
else. My only problem is picking out my retirement booth.

I've worked at the cafe off and on since 2000!
I look forward to going to work; it's my home away from home. My grandfather
was apart of this cafe when it was a bar; and now it is my turn! My family
is here too! I am the little heifer, who has to watch my P's and Q's,
because "Linda said!"

When I answered the ad in the Herald, little did
I know what I would be getting myself into. I found myself working with
some of the most fun people I'd ever met. I've been here almost a year,
and I can't see leaving anytime soon...because Linda said.

Hi, working at Bracken Store Cafe is like coming
home for me since I had worked as a bartender for the past owners, Bobbie
(Heitkamp) Peace and Jim Peace in the 80's. I met Linda at the store and
have remained friends over the years. She is a beautiful person, inside
and out and I enjoy working for her. I'm the senior of the staff and all
of them treat me with the greatest respect and I'm glad to be a part of
the "Bracken Store Cafe." They are fun and they keep me young!
